Data we collect
To run the service, Sunny collects and stores: your phone number (or, for the web demo, a randomly generated session ID), the watchlists and topics you set, your alert/notification settings, and your message history with Sunny. For paid plans, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details — Sunny never sees or stores full card numbers.
We also automatically log limited technical data — your IP address and basic request details — strictly to run security, rate limiting, and abuse/fraud prevention (and a short security audit log). We do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking. Under GDPR, IP addresses are personal data; we process them on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, and retain them only as long as needed for that purpose.
How we use it
We use this data only to deliver Sunny: to generate your market briefs and alerts, remember your preferences, operate your subscription, prevent abuse and fraud, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information.
Third parties
Trusted providers process only the data needed to deliver the service — messaging (Twilio), payments (Stripe), AI/analysis (OpenAI), and market data (Finnhub). Each handles data under its own terms. Please don't put passwords, government IDs, or other highly sensitive information into chat.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Sunny is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us at support@get-sunny.com and we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian may request review or deletion of a child's information at the same address.
Your choices & rights
Text STOP anytime to disable alerts and daily messages. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing support@get-sunny.com. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
Cookies & local storage
The website uses a strictly necessary cookie and browser local storage to keep your demo session and remember that you've seen our notices. We don't use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by our hosting provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
